DAY 1. Your "why" and how it is crucial for change

Here is the thing and you probably know this.
Change is hard for humans.

Maybe you recognize this:

  • You made new year resolutions, but they never really stuck

  • You wanted to hit the gym and it worked for a few months. Then it didn't.

  • You are a professional procrastinator. That constantly puts things off.

It is hard to leave our comfort zone.
And at some point you might feel discouraged.
That is completely normal!

HOW TO SOLVE THIS
You have to determine your WHY.
Before you start.
Keep focusing on that feeling and goal during this process.

Because the why, your personals reasons and emotions, WILL make all the difference.

When we start any transformation, we will encounter fear and resistance.  Thinking about the deeply ingrained desire, will motivate you to conquer this.

ASSIGNMENT DAY 1: Dig beneath the surface and find your why

Take out a journal and write down the answers to the following questions. I recommend that you use a dedicated notebook for this challenge. This will help you read trough notes.

  1.  Why did you invest in this course? What story or stories do you want to rewrite?

  2. What is the life change you are looking?

  3. What will happen if you succeed? How would that feel?

  4. Why is this important to you? What emotion or feeling would you experience?

  5. What will happen if you NOT follow trough and nothing changes?

  6. What emotion or feeling would you experience then?

  7. On a scale of 1 to 10: how important is it to you to change this?

Now finish the following sentence:

I invested in the this course because I want to (write down your desire).

Changing this will make me feel  (write down emotions and feelings) and that will (write down the results if you succeed).
